TURIN SHOPPING GUIDES, WHEN SHOPPING BECOMES ROYAL

Surrounded by alpine peaks Turin is a city with a unique charm, discreet, elegant and refined like the facades of its palaces. The city offers many ideas for culture lovers, in fact, the symbol of the capital is the Mole Antonelliana, which houses the national cinema museum.

But Turin is not only a cultural heritage, so much so that the Royal Arcades, with their 18 km of roads created for the king's walks, today accompany fashion lovers through prestigious shop windows starting from Via Roma, austere and elegant, where they followed by some of the most famous fashion houses in the world, such as Armani, Gucci, Ferragamo, Louis Vuitton and Hermès. In the same street, moreover, there are also mid-range stores, with brands like Max Mara and Cos.

Via Po, an arcaded street leading from Piazza Castello to the splendid Piazza Vittorio, is instead the alternative shopping street: stalls of used books and vinyl records, ethnic shops and small extravagant boutiques, this is where originality becomes the absolute protagonist.

The trend of the moment like streetwear finds a home right in the middle between via Roma and via Po, more precisely at Hannibal Store, a store specializing in the sector whose proposals range from more ordinary brands like Adidas and Nike to more refined collaborations like Puma x Ader Error.

To relive the splendors of the past between one shop window and another, you can visit the Royal Residences of the Savoy, a UNESCO heritage: in the heart of the city, in Piazza Castello, in fact, Palazzo Reale peeps out with its particular white façade, flanked by Palazzo Madama, a splendid building of Roman origin that houses the Civic Museum of Ancient Art.

Returning to fashion, for some years now Via Lagrange has been considered one of the best shopping streets where high-end fashion houses like Miu Miu, Prada, Chanel stand out. The new Lagrange12 project takes its name from the street, a multibrand mega store whose 1,200 square meters divided over three floors are the cradle of the luxury fashion scene.

In short, Turin is a city of a thousand faces: ancient capital of the Savoy kingdom, cradle of the Risorgimento and theater of great historical events, an industrial pole of fashion, cinema and car, which over the years has been able to renew itself: nineteenth-century style and luxury they describe it, but it is a young and vital city thanks to the many clubs and shops that from Piazza Castello multiply throughout the city.
