BRESCIA SHOPPING GUIDE: WHERE TO DO THE BEST PURCHASES IN THE

Once you get to Brescia, it doesn't take much to notice how the city is an open-air history book. One of the largest Roman archaeological areas of Northern Italy, a city of art of the Mille Miglia and home of the "Pirlo" (better known as "Aperol Spritz"), in June 2011 Brescia was declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site thanks to the monastic complex of San Salvatore - Santa Giulia and the archaeological area of the Capitolium. Is a town located in the middle of the Val Trompia and the Franciacorta area, a few kilometers by car from Lake Garda, it is mostly known as an industrial center and center of modernity: but the city boasts very ancient origins, numerous historical occupations and positions significant in the history of Italy.

A rich and varied economy, based on several sectors: the most important is the economy linked to the metallurgical industries and the wine production (of Franciacorta) but also the cultural one. The city is in fact very focus on the art of theater and music and is constantly active in the organization of shows and events.

For some years Brescia has also become a metropolitan city, which has favored tourism but above all has increased by far the proposals regarding the fashion sector. In fact, there are numerous single and multi-brand boutiques and fashion stores, which can satisfy anyone's requests. Arriving from the train station, the historic center is easily reachable from Via Antonio Gramsci, along which the two stores (man and woman) of ONE-OFF are located: a new luxury retail which is the result of the collaboration of two important companies in the sector, G&B Negozio and Folli Follie that in the store display collections of top or sought-after brands, but above all many limited edition collections. Still on the same street, we find a store of a completely different kind that is Frisco Shop which represents an important reality of the city for all streetwear enthusiasts and the latest underground trends.

From Via Gramsci, an excellent solution to continue shopping is to take the crossroads on Corso Palestro, the hub of the best shops in the city that range from mono and multi-brand stores to boutiques of all kinds, from perfumeries to shops for the home to the historic workshops. Two multi-brand stores such as Five and Fulgure Calzature are a must for the best novelties in terms of style. Continuing towards the center on Corso Zanardelli, which boasts its arcade, there are many other single-brand stores including MaxMara, Pinko, Marella, Furla. In the vicinity of the Teatro Grande, there are also many optics with a wide selection of lenses and frames, which are mixed with fast fashion stores such as Pimkie, Mango, Tezenis.

Walking along the avenue that leads us to Piazza Duomo, we find ourselves invariably under the Brescia office of Amedeo D., located in the Coin store on the corner of Corso Magenta and Via Mazzini. If the optics and frames of Corso Zanardelli have not met your needs, we recommend a visit to the Indice near the Duomo Vecchio, a cutting-edge space very different from the lenses you are used to, where you can find eyeglasses or sunglasses of the best contemporary brands.

Walking through ancient buildings and cobblestones, which would have to tell a thousand stories of multicultural settlement and a strong bond to the Catholic religion, you leave the historic center to reach the Carmine district: the fulcrum of a thousand cultures that live together peacefully, among jewelry shops craft and ethnic shops with products from all over the world.
Moreover, being the city in a geographically strategic position, you can easily reach tourist destinations on the lake such as Desenzano del Garda, where there is also the second home of the historic multi-brand boutique Daad Antone, and the neighboring Sirmione del Garda: if the shopping day it was tiring, nothing prevents you from relaxing on the tourist boat for the shores of Lake Garda.
