Saint Laurent, the first fashion boutique in Paris that launched women's smoking.

Saint Laurent is a fashion boutique founded in Paris in 1962 by the homonymous fashion designer and his partner Pierre Bergé. In the French capital there are many boutiques, but thanks to the enormous success, Yves Saint Laurent became famous all over the world and opened boutiques in major cities.

The boutique is specialized in selling womenswear and menswear, shoes, accessories, cosmetics and perfumes: indeed, the first product that has been launched is the "Y" perfume. But the real revolution came with the female caban: indeed, Saint Laurent revisits the feminine elegance and gives life to the modern woman.

The icon clothing is the smoking for women, inspired by Marlene Dietrich, the designer also started the production safari jackets, blazers and trench coats which left to come out a double identity of women. The designer was also the first to introduce animal fabrics into collections, as well as the first to allow models of color to walk the catwalk.

Saint Laurent clothing is inspired by the surrounding world which is transposed on silk, wool or jersey. Colors are mixed to create new, unexpected, and untraditional combinations. The creations are characterized by the precision of lines, respect of the geometric shapes and of the color which come to life on the woman's body.

The designer was also inspired by the art world, Andy Warhol's Pop Art or Picasso, so he designed a collection in his homage, but a source of inspiration is also the African continent, where he was born and traveled a lot.

The interior design of the Saint Laurent boutiques is very luxurious and elegant. White walls and white marble floors give a sense of peace to the spaces. The furnishings, as in the case of clothing, perfectly respect the geometrical figures: besides the armchairs in light leather and the circular table, all the other interior elements have well defined pointy shapes and the shades of black or brown.
