Givenchy, the elegance and the class of a fashion boutique that revolutionized the fashion rules.

Givenchy is a luxury brand founded in Paris in 1952 by Hubert de Givenchy. In that same year the first collection was launched and combined architectural lines and simplicity of elegant blouses and light skirts, changing the standards of fashion beauty. Currently there are many boutiques in Paris and during the years many other stores have been opened all over the world.

The first successes came from the shirt Bettina, a simple white cotton shirt whose name is a tribute to Bettina Graziani, one of the first most famous model. The materials used are carefully selected and chosen: the cigaline which is a “mousseline” and “satung” a mixture of satin and shantung. The materials used were flannel for trousers, organza for the evening and silk for summer.

Also thanks to his friend and mentor Cristobal Balenciaga, Givenchy expanded its production and inside the boutiques, the sale also extended to shoes, scarves, ties, towels, clothing for men and children, umbrellas, jewels, fragrances, cosmetics and even a car: The Ford Lincoln Continental.

Givenchy dressed up many famous women such as Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis, Princesses Grace and Carolina of Monaco, Marlene Dietrich and Elizabeth Taylor, but dressed up also many singers such as Beyoncé, Adele, Madonna and Rihanna, but the only inspirational muse was Audrey Hepburn.

The boutique interior design has a modern and elegant style. The floors and the walls are made of marble: two different types, but both of color gray. In other boutiques it is also possible to find black ebony floors or carpets. The furniture is made of glass, wood or marble. Inside the boutiques are exposed some selected clothing, while shoes and accessories are exposed inside illuminated sections cut into the walls.
