Caramel is a fashion store, which sells high-quality products in particular for kids, but also for women. It was founded in London in 1999 in the South Kensington district, but then it opened also other stores in the most important neighborhood of London and into the biggest department stores, such as Harrods and Selfridges.
After years, observing the production of handmade knits in Peru and the production of handcrafted clothes realized by the smallest designers in London and in Cotswolds, the Caramel line was born. The basic idea is to create luxury products for kids, modern and at the same time elegant clothing with the typical British style.
Pieces have often the charm of vintage and the dynamism and vitality of modern times. The aim is to mix colors and fabrics, creating a funny and unique rhythm. The brand can be distinguished thanks to its unconventional products, which go beyond every tendency, focusing also on details. The secret of success is the love for kids and the passion for high-quality fashion, combined with a little bit of creativity and intuition.
The stores are very spacious and “kids-friendly”, they have vintage and happy style, they are warm and comfortable. In the interior design the wood is prevalent, but there are also many other characteristic elements: there are spaces, which represent a garden – where there is a tree, a little table with two chairs and a vintage car – and then spaces, which represent a picnic area – where there is a bench used for the exposition of clothing and funny toys for kids. More generally, the interior design is very elegant and formal, but can completely mix vintage and modern, in the typical Caramel style.
