The Red Wing Shoes brand was built on a great promise of America: if one works hard enough, it can get anything. Charles Beckman, a Red Wing trader in Minnesota, believed deeply in this promise.
From his shoe store on the main road, he understood firsthand the need for durable and comfortable boots, and in 1905, he founded the Red Wing Shoe Company. Soon the voice of quality and comfort present in each pair spread and the company prospered.
Today a third generation of employees, who are right along the road from the original factory, continues this tradition, using the same craftsmanship and attention to detail. Triple seams, sturdy construction and rich leathers are hallmarks of every Red Wing boot.
