It all happened by accident when, in retreat in the Swiss mountains, after the Second World War, a streamlined ski outfit designed by the Marquis for a friend, was photographed and published on Harper's Bazaar. His fame earned him the Oscar of fashion in 1954, and ended up landing in Hollywood, where he met one of his most loyal fans, Marilyn Monroe.
At his death, in 1992, Emilio Pucci's daughter, Laudomia, took over his father's business and in April 2000, Pucci family reached an agreement with LVMH, the French brand leader in the luxury market, which acquired 67 % of the company.
The artistic director and creative, Peter Dundas, has brought a new vision of great modernity and freshness, perfectly in tune with the spirit of this unique brand. On September 2021, LVMH Moët Hennessy named Camille Miceli as the new artistic director of the brand.
