For the Moncler Genius - 2 Moncler 1952 collaboration, the designers Veronica Leoni and Sergio Zambon took care respectively of the women's and men's lines.
Veronica Leoni wanted to create a line with references and illusions at the beginning of the 20th century, she designed a collection for a series of sensual and strong-willed women: the voluminous down jackets are curled and create a puff effect while the padded jackets undoubtedly refer to another era, while maintaining a contemporary appeal thanks to the use of Moncler's technical nylon.
As for menswear, Sergio Zambon instead started from the history of the great classics without ever losing sight of street style and this is reflected in the creation of parkas, chinos and blankets that are used as capes. He studied the creative movements of the 70s intertwining them with preppy, hippie and punk trends, inspired by the relaxed spirit of Los Angeles.
The biggest challenge within Moncler Genius - 2 Moncler 1952 was to try to overcome the classic stereotype of the down jacket, to take it beyond the obvious and the two designers succeeded perfectly.
