KangaROOS is an american brand founded in 1979 by the architect and jogging enthusiast Bob Gamm, who, since his death in 2012, has designed all the brand shoes, with a special vintage attitude that still characterizes the products. Gamm invented and designed this particular type of shoes initially for his own need: he wanted to go jogging without having to take with him bags or pockets to carry keys and money, so he invented this selections of sneakers with special pockets and pouches on both sides. Further refinements on the original design led to several significant innovations in athletic footwear. Today, KangaROOS are sold in over sixty countries worldwide. Recent years have witnessed expansion through Central and South America as well as Asia. The footwear moved its strategic focus from performance sports to sports lifestyle footwear.
