Iceberg is an Italian fashion brand founded in 1974 by Silvano Gerani and Giuliana Marchini.
The brand reached the success above all during the 80s, becoming a real statement of the Paninaro fashion style famous in those years in northern Italy. Key pieces such as sneakers, white socks, rolled-up jeans, oversized shirts and knitwear, all characterized by strong and bright color blocks and humorous cartoon designs and pop cultural iconography, have become the main distinctive features and strength of the brand that totally revolutionized the sportswear. The result was a sporty and at the same time fashionable aesthetic, still current nowadays.
Starting as a knitwear specialist, Iceberg was one of the first supporters and revolutionaries of the concept of sportswear, with the aim of injecting into the luxury sportswear market, a pinch of Made in Italy fun and irreverence.
Born therefore to respond to changes in taste in a society that had been revolutionized since 1968, Iceberg then became the strong point of a company that, still completely in the hands of the founding family, has a strong reaction speed and great variety of proposals to meet current market demands.
