The student at the Parsons School of Design, Heron Preston, is undoubtedly a man of strong creative talent. After moving from his native San Francisco to New York City, the artist, DJ and clothing designer began his career, founding the streetwear brand with artistic direction of Been Trill and with Matthew Williams of 1017 ALYX 9SM and Virgil Abloh of Off-White. After the release of his "NASCAR" t-shirt, which reinterpreted the iconic brands in an over-brand visual party, Preston was inspired to further explore the value and significance of authenticity in today's sartorial landscape. An experience that opened his eyes and prompted him to turn a critical eye to the role of the clothing industry in the global pollution crisis. By producing a sustainable capsule collection in collaboration with the Department of Hygiene in New York, he demonstrated that environmental awareness and fresh aesthetics do not necessarily have to be mutually exclusive. Preston's homonymous streetwear label, launched in 2016, promotes its unique world view with a rich collection of references full of internet culture, youth and counterfeiting.
