Copenhagen-based streetwear label Heliot Emil was created by brothers Julius and Victor Juul, paying homage to their great-grandfather, the brand’s namesake.
The Juul brothers debuted their first collection at Milan’s Fashion Week for SS17, and the label has since been recognized as one of the most provocative in the game.
Marked by an avant-Scandi aesthetic that merges form and function with lush, tech forward fabrics, its collections are unisex and monochrome, taking inspiration from the brothers’ Scandinavian heritage using different fabrics from around the globe and producing pieces in Italy, France, and Portugal.
Designer Julius Juul is inspired by thought provoking themes and utilizes influences from process art and the industrial techno scene, where the boundaries between form and function prompt exploration as each collection draws themes of curiosity and creative freedom.
The brand's most recent collection, ‘Referential Transparency’ encompasses such detailing with heat reactive thermo and water-resistant fabrics.
Heliot Emil is currently available in 35 carefully selected stockist around the world as Luisa via Roma, Galeries Lafayette, Antonioli and others.
