Looking through the collections of the Feben brand, we are able to enter a world of cultural traditions, crafts, sustainability and inclusiveness.
The designer and founder of the eponymous brand, born in North Korea but grows in Sweden from Ethiopian mother, ethnicity in which it is recognized.
She trained in the renowned Centre Saint Martin in London with the support of the Isabella Blow scholarship. After graduating in 2020, she founded her own brand and was selected by the British Fashion Council to take part in the NEWGEN project, aimed at supporting new talents in British fashion.
His is a surrealist style, inspired by the various ethnicities known by the designer. The brand works on the aesthetics of Black culture, on the union of traditions and crafts, precisely for this reason the clothes and accessories in the collections are handmade and decorated. The brand has been collaborating for some time with the artisans of Accra in Ghana, who produce upcycled beads and fabrics, as we see in the F2024/25 collection.
The desire of the designer is to make every woman feel a work of art. The woman wearing Feben has the opportunity to feel confident, the dress almost seems to caress and wrap her.
The power of Feben has in a short time also conquered international stars such as Beyoncé, Emily Ratajowski and Jorja Smith. But the first true supporter is Ashley Graham, who in 2022, at the presentation of the Pirelli calendar, wears a brown dress sprinkled with the iconic curls of the brand.
