Launched in 1995 by co-founders Jeff Solorio and John Juniper, DITA’s mission was (and still is) to create innovative, high-quality crafted eyewear with a unique look and feel. Pursuing a passion for design, photography, performance and style have shared since grade school, the brand's co-funders launched their first collection of Dita frames in 1995.
From the beginning, international acclaim has greeted each new Dita collection and they have become one of the most influential sunglasses designers.
Jeff and John envisioned Dita as an alternative to label branded eyewear. Dita’s logo details are intentionally subtle so that the frame itself defines the look rather than the logo. This allows the design of the frame to complement features of the wearer and contribute to their overall style.
For some DITA it is the innovative combination of timeless elegance and mechanical chic. For others it’s the 4 essential properties of style, quality, fit and feel. And for still others it’s the custom acetates, luxurious metals and exclusive hardware polished to a brilliant finish.
