Casadei was born in 1958, in a small workshop in San Mauro Pascoli, where Quinto and Flora Casadei create the first collection of sandals for tourists who frequent the Italian Riviera. It is the time of the economic boom and of the miracle of Made in Italy: in ten years, the laboratory is transformed into a small company highly specialized in footwear that exports to Germany and the United States.
In addition to having made the history and fortune of the Italian shoe, Casadei has substantially substantially a rendering of one of the main interlocutors of fashion. The models tell Casadei's success: the design concentration and the creative publication that have defined and distinguished quality, as well as fame and the market on a global scale.
Beautiful shapes to wear, accurate in character and quality of finishes and details, produced with refined, exclusive, innovative materials, often combining the textures and natural textures of leather or suede, crocodile or python with technological lights, rubber elements or plastic, plexiglas or nylon. Casadei produces recognizable models due to the extreme originality of the colors, patterns, textures and chromatic relationships.
After the sandals arrived on the platform, they inspired a vast series of models in the collections at the turn of the Sixties and Seventies, to then evolve into a plateau, taking on increasingly extraordinary aesthetic and technical prerogatives and using the elements known and always more refined than the Casadei models. Along with the boot, the decorated shoe enters the history of the fashion house in the early 1980s, becoming another symbolic product.
The utmost attention to product exclusivity has continued and continues to this day to distinguish Casadei shoes, always embellished with sumptuous decorative details, such as ribbons and holes in colored leather or fur, Swarovski pavé, jewel brooches, portholes, eyelets, metal tongues or enriched with fascinating protected details.
To date, Casadei has 21 flagship stores in the world, in November 2015 the new concept store curated by Cesare Casadei in collaboration with architect Marco Costanzi was presented as a world preview in Rome and later developed for the new boutique 120 square meters on Albemarle Street, in the exclusive Mayfair district of London.
