Ambush, the new luxury-streetwear brand that captures the aesthetics of Tokyo.
The unique style by AMBUSH is inspired by Japanese culture, futuristic aesthetics, surrealism and the new tribalism. A mix of subcultures from different parts of the world, contaminated by the oriental minimalist design’s charm. Iconic products such as kimono-style t-shirts, jackets and wrap-around coats, perfectly combine the comfort of everyday garments with a surprise element. Classic silhouettes are combined with natural fabrics such as leather and linen, to create a dichotomy between ambiguity and fit. Jewelery such as necklaces, bracelets and gold chain chokers, are made with hand-cut natural stones and feature sculptural shapes and traditional cuts.
Founded in 2008 by the korean-born couple Yoon and Verbal, AMBUSH was initially born as an experimental line of jewelry which draws inspiration from sources ranging from 1950s America to post-war rebel youth subcultures in Europe.
With a strong innovative design inspired by pop art, the AMBUSH brand made its debut in Paris in 2015. The success was such that, the following year, the duo decided to also launch ready-to-wear and to inaugurate the first flagship store in Shibuya.
The uniqueness of the AMBUSH style has led to several collaborations with international celebrities of the streetwear scene such as Kanye West and Pharrell Williams. There are also numerous collaboration with brands including UNDERCOVER, Off-White and Nike.
