AKEP is an Italian women's clothing brand focused on hand-made knitwear. The wool blend maxi coats with ethnic patterns, the colorful ribbed dresses, the mohair skirts, the cotton pants with animal prints, the soft alpaca wool cardigans represent the essence of AKEP. The creative study of the collections meets the refinement of strictly made in Italy high quality materials, which are traditionally processed, giving the final product the added value of authenticity. The innovative and modern design, the original and trendy patterns and the current and bright colors are the main protagonists of the brand.
AKEP stands out for its unique, unconventional style, influenced by a boho chic aesthetic and a folk chic touch, which give the collections a strong and recognizable character: the brand represents an original project, where innovation finds a voice in telling knitwear in a more youthful and less traditional version from a stylistic point of view, without however giving up the quality of the materials, entirely produced in Puglia. Who wears AKEP is endowed with a revolutionary spirit and a strong personality: the brand is therefore aimed at women who are not afraid of being themselves, but who instead want to leave their mark and do it through colors, extravagant patterns, showing off so their rebellious and indomitable soul.
AKEP was founded in 2015 by the young CEO Francesco Francavilla and following an evolution in the commercial field, the brand was recently acquired by Zero & Company, a historic company specialized in the production and distribution of Italian textiles, with the goal first of all of implementing a marketing strategy aimed at recognizing the brand and secondly expanding the distribution channels, with the goal of passing on the identity and fundamental values of AKEP beyond national borders.
