The Adidas brand, today one of the most famous in the world, was born from an idea of the German obsessed with sport, Adi Dassler. Since its origins, the brand has distinguished itself for sporty-glamorous clothing: if the Adidas line in fact created technical clothing for any type of sport, the Originals line is inspired by glam-pop culture to design sweatshirts, tracksuits, sneakers, jackets and windbreakers, backpacks, costumes and accessories of any kind, from socks to wallets.
Adolf gave birth in 1949 to Adidas, whose name is merely the fusion of the first three letters of his nickname (Adi) and the three initial letters of surname (Das). Initially, the brand's profile has been reduced until the resurrection by music fans in the early 1980s, imitating the fashion of their pop idols, such as Stones Roses and Happy Mondays.
Then, Adidas Originals, marked by a clover crossed by the iconic three stripes, with its iconic models, in the original version or revisited one, has become a lifestyle brand, deeply linked to pop culture and the music world.
The famous Gazelle model became an object of desire, after appearing in the videoclip of Madonna's "Rain" song, as well as sneakers that the whole world wears, the Adidas Superstar, worn by Rap-Run D.M.C.
The Originals line collaborates with some world stars, like Pharrell Williams and Rita Ora, who are both testimonial and creative sources for the brand's products.
