Acne Studios is a Stockholm-based brand that adopts a multidisciplinary approach in its style. The inspiration for sweatshirts, shoes, jackets and trench coats or ready-to-wear suits as well as for the trendiest accessories, from beanies to bags, derives in fact from many areas, including art and architecture.
Through the founder and the interest of creative director Jonny Johansson in the field of photography, art, architecture and contemporary culture, an alternative path was found, transforming Acne Studios into a well-respected creator of ready-to-wear, magazines, furniture, books and exhibitions.
The collections are defined by the signature of Jonny Johansson with the juxtaposition of design and attention to detail, as well as particular attention to tailoring and an eclectic use of customized materials and fabrics.
The collections cover the ready-to-wear men's and women's lines, footwear, accessories and denim. The store is housed in a historic building in Lilla Nygatan 23 in the heart of Stockholm's old town. In addition to its Stockholm headquarters, Acne Studios has monobrand stores in Milan Paris, London, New York, Los Angeles and Tokyo.
